During many years, it has served as a venue for discussions for PhD students, as well as young and senior researchers with interest in a wide range of topics in supply chain management and logistics.
The Centre for Shipping and Logistics at NHH was represented by its leader Stein W. Wallace, and contributed with the following presentations:
- "Cost allocation and coalition formation in collaborative logistics", by the PhD student Ondrej Osicka
- "Environmental benefits of collaboration and allocation of emissions in road freight transportation", by the Assistant Professor Mario Guajardo
- "Dynamic Pricing and Revenue Optimization: Learning by Games", by the Assistant Professor Julio Goez

The article "Service supply chain management: A review of operational models", by NHH’s professor Stein Wallace, recently reached the top of the list of the most downloaded articles in the European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR). In this article, Wallace and co-authors Yulan Wang and Tsan-Ming Choi from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Bin Shen from Donghua University, review a selection of papers on innovative measures in service supply chain management. They categorize service supply chains into Service Only Supply Chains and Product Service Supply Chains. They also classify the related literature into three major areas: service supply management, service demand management, and service supply chains coordination. By this classification, Wallace and co-authors derive insights into the current state of knowledge in each area, examine its evolution over the past decade and identify challenges and directions for future research.
The article surpassed 3,600 downloads in just three months after its publication in EJOR. This is one of the most prestigious journals in operations research and management science, currently classified among the exclusive level 4 journals in the Academic Journal Guide of the Association of Business Schools (ABS).
