1. Starting the project
The „old“ Innovation School was popular program among NHH students. The program was a pilot project in cooperation with the University of California, Berkeley. After the pilot phase, the rectorate decided to pause the project in 2020 and to use the time to develop the project further.
I recently received the task to lead the new project and became the new program manager. Linda Nøstbakken, the vice rector for education, defined the goal to create a program with a high practical relevance by combining academic content of high quality and a practical experience. Furthermore, the school aims to achieve the following goals in comparison to the "old" Innovation School:
- lower costs for the students.
- a more sustainable program.
- embed the program into NHH’s organization.
NHH received some criticism for the decision to pause the program in 2019. I do not know the background of this decision but I am happy to be involved in the new project. I am looking forward to it, and we will work hard to use the pause to make the program even better. I am on parental leave until the end of 2019 but I am confident to find the time to get the planning process started. We will keep you informed about the processes behind the scenes here.
