Town hall meetings a success
"The main result of the survey we conducted after the last town hall meeting, is very encouraging. More than 90 percent of those who have participated at the meetings this autumn, report that their insight about what's important at NHH has increased".

This is Rector Øystein's conclusion after having read the results from the survey about the town hall meetings distributed to all employees at NHH earlier in November.
Given the diversity of the participants and their different expectations, this result is very good. Many have provided thorough and interesting feedback that we will take into consideration in the planning of future meetings. More time for questions and two-way communication are recurring issues that we will take into account, of course", Øystein says.

- 59 percent of those who have participated in the survey, have attended two or three town hall meetings.
- Almost 80 percent report that they like or really like the meetings a lot.
- 94 percent report that the meetings contribute to a more unified NHH across departments and administrative units.
- 87 percent think that the duration of the meetings is about the right length.
- 82 percent think that the frequency of the meeings is about right.
Town halls spring 2018
Also next spring the town hall meetings will take place after the board meetings. The reason for this is to present fresh decisions from the board meetings. The dates for spring 2018 are:

NHH's internal communication shall be available to everyone, reliable, predictable and to the right time.
The town hall meetings are an important arena for internal communication at NHH. They are based on the meetings that the administrative employees have had the last years. The town hall meetings are also an arena for employees to meet each other across departments and administrative offices. The fifteen minute gathering with refreshments prior to each meeting, is vital.
The town hall meetings are one of a range of measures to increase the information flow and communication at NHH. Protocols and agendas from committee meetings have just become available at Paraplyen. In the Academic Committee's mandate information flow and communication from the committee to the rest of the organisation are included.
