Things to consider when preparing for a course

Below is a checklist in bullet point form for you planning a course. The checklist is in chronological order. The summary is bullet point oriented, but in the actual heading of the section, you will be able to click further for more detailed information where it is available.

 

1. COURSE DESCRIPTION

  • Fill out EPN, it is then approved by the institute and then by the program leader.
  • Administrative support: the department and Karen Reed-Larsen
        • Schedule and exam plan/auditorium.
        • Choose the right lecture room for your course.

  • If you are teaching yourself and want didactic feedback, peer observation of teaching is an option.

  • During the exam period, it's important to be available for students and the Exam Section.
  • Exam grading: Examiners, internal and/or external, grading deadlines, reasons, complaint deadlines. Detailed instructions can be found on the Exam Section's support pages.

  • Student evaluation: Course responsible can add questions to the questionnaire in Watermark CES when it opens for editing in February and September.
