Admission BSc in Business, Economics and Data Science
The Bachelor in Business, Economics & Data Science programme at NHH Norwegian School of Economics accepts applications on an annual basis, with the programme commencing in August.
Admissions briefly explained
Applicants qualify if they meet all of the following criteria:
- Higher education entrance qualification (upper secondary diploma), and
- English language proficiency, and
- Mathematical proficiency.

Application pathways - two systems, one destination:
I. Students who fulfil the Norwegian language requirement for admission to higher education in Norway, must apply through Samordna Opptak. This includes most students with a degree from one of the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland), but can also apply to international degrees like the IB or A-levels.
Application period for the 2026/2027 academic year (starting August 2026), through Samordna Opptak:
- 1 February 2026 – 15 April 2026. Within Samordna Opptak, the programme is listed as a Master programme (5 years), Business, Economics and Data Science - siviløkonom. The documentation deadline is 1 July 2026 for uploading spring semester exam results and for secondary school graduates to submit their upper secondary school diploma. Applications for admission for these applicants are now closed.
II. Other students apply directly to NHH. When you have logged in to our application portal, Søknadsweb, please select Bachelor of Science in Business, Economics and Data Science Autumn 2026 and submit your application.
Application period for the 2026/2027 academic year (starting August 2026), through Søknadsweb:
- Non-EU/EEA/Swiss¹ nationals: 1 November – 15 November 2025. The documentation deadline is 15 November 2025 (if applicable, the deadline for OMPT-F test results is 15 February 2026).
- EU/EEA/Swiss² nationals: 1 January – 15 February 2026. The documentation deadline is 15 February 2026.

Deadlines and Key Dates
Non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals
1 November – 15 November 2025: Application period (including the submission of test results and the upper secondary diploma). OMPT-F test results (if applicable): submit by 15 February 2026.
EU/EEA/Swiss nationals
1 January – 15 February 2026:
- Submit application, test results, and diploma.
- If graduating in spring 2026, submit test results, official final grade reports, and official predicted grades by 15 February. Final diploma must be uploaded by 6 July.
Samordna Opptak applicants
1 February – 15 April 2026: Application period. The documentation deadline is 1 July 2026 for uploading spring semester exam results and for secondary school graduates to submit their upper secondary school diploma.
All applicants
±15 May 2026: Application deadline housing for students with housing guarantee (this does not apply to Samordna Opptak applicants).
7-16 August 2026: Introduction programme Welcome Week.
10 August 2026: Deadline to apply for deferment.
