"The nominations highlight the recipients’ approach to digital teaching. Regular lectures have been replaced by a number of short videos on each topic, which has proved to be a well-suited solution for this course. The feedback indicates that this solution is so good that it should also be considered for later semesters.

The nominations also endorse the lecturers’ teaching skills, which is especially transparent in their ability to explain complex and abstract concepts in a simple and understandable way. Furthermore, the lecturers have received complements on their strong focus on providing understanding to the students through the use of relevant examples.

There is no doubt that Håkon Otneim and Geir Drage Berentsen have done an excellent job in a challenging semester and are worthy winners of the Bronze Sponge for the autumn 2020."
