The rehabilitation enters new phase
These days, the rehabilitation of the aula begins. The aula will soon be enclosed by a rig area, and the demolition of the interior will begin. During the past week considerable work has been done with emptying the aula of technical equipment and loose installations.
NHH employees will notice that the work with the aula has started because the entrance to the aula will be closed. To get into the Service Building we will have to use the delivery entrance (marked 2 on the illustration) or the entrances towards the north (marked 3) and west (marked 4).
The car road in front of the aula towards the New Wing will be part of the rig area. If you need to drive through, you will have to contact the Office of Property Management on their emergeny phone (55 95 98 88). Only necessary driving will be permitted through the rig area.
The rehabilitation project, like most other projects in the country, is affected by the crisis we are in. The contractor is working hard to keep the progress in the project, but due to crew shortages and challenges related to delivery of goods, production is now down to approximately 70 percent. Currently, it is too early to say how this will affect the end date of the project.
But things are moving forward, and more and more areas are starting to take shape. Floors are being laid, tiles are being fitted, and wall panels are being put up.
In the photos below we can see that surfaces are being finished and we get an idea as to what the rehabilitated area will look like.
