Work hour registration

Work hour registration

How to register work hours, sick leave and more.

From 3 January 2022 NHH uses Unit4 Business World Web and the module Time/Project for time registration.

The largest change is the new interface and a slightly different way of registering working hours. The interface is similar to travel/expenses, and will thus be familiar.

The following is important to note:

For employees using the flex-time form

The flex-time form is no longer in use and the timesheet must be kept in Unit4 Business World Web.

All time registration belonging to 2021 must be completed according to the old model, and balances on flex-time will be transferred to the new system. Holidays that are approved for transfer will also be entered as balances in the new system.

Managers submit final flex-time forms and time sheets belonging to 2021. Separate information has been sent in relation to this. All activity from 2022 must be entered in the new system, including absence.

The time registration is fully digital. Approval of hours and variable pay (overtime and other supplements) is done digitally using workflow in the same way as travel/expenses and invoices.

Employees in the office of property management who are part of the on-call scheme enter their hours in the system in the same way as other administrative employees.

Externally funded projects

Employees who work on externally funded projects shall keep all hours in the new system. NHH's project grants from external parties depend on correct registration of time as documentation for the payments we receive, therefore it is critically important that this is done.

All projects will be registered in the system, and you will have access to the projects you are a member of.

Administrative employees

You keep your hours on the respective projects, i.e. you only keep one timesheet even if you have both administrative time and time on externally funded projects, an explanation of this can be found in the user guide.

Scientific employees

You only register your project hours, not regular working hours. For the time being, you continue to register absences in the absence registration as you do today.

Time registration for those who have an hourly wage agreement

Employees with hourly wage agreement will also register their working hours in the system. This applies mainly to student assistants.

Separate guidelines apply to examination guards.

Questions and support

Introduction of new systems will in most cases involve some questions, potential errors and frustrations.
