Want to share your research with the world? Curious how to turn your ideas into a published op-ed? Join Sigrid Folkestad from Communications — this time together with Theresa Bührle and Elisa Casi, who recently published in Dagens Næringsliv.

In just one hour, you’ll get the tools you need to write a sharp and engaging op-ed – perfect for NHH researchers new to op-ed writing: PhD candidates, postdocs, and all other researchers!

What you’ll learn:

  • How researchers can write op-eds that inspire and engage
  • The key tools and structure behind a successful op-ed
  • How to structure and sharpen your argument
  • The essential building blocks of a strong op-ed
  • What editors look for – insights from the newsroom

Practical information:

Date: Wednesday, 22 October
Time: 11:00 – 12:00
Place: AUD G
Language: English

Meet:

Senior Adviser Sigrid Folkestad, who works with researchers on op-ed writing and pitches to newspapers. She’ll share what it takes to turn academic insight into compelling public communication.

This time, she’s joined by Theresa Bührle and Elisa Casi from the Department of Business and Management Science – two researchers who recently published an op-ed in Dagens Næringsliv. They’ll share why they decided to write, how they shaped their piece, found a strong hook, and what the process was like – including how much time it actually took.

Whether you’ve never written an op-ed before or just want to sharpen your voice, this session will give you the tools – and motivation – to get started.
