Teaching opportunities in Spain and Italy

Do you want to share your expertise with international students and gain a unique teaching experience abroad?

ENGAGE.EU invites academic staff to apply for teaching positions at two exciting summer schools in Barcelona and Rome in July next year.

These programs bring together students from across the alliance, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate across disciplines, contribute to innovative courses, and experience life in two of Europe’s most vibrant cities.

Architecture, Innovation and Culture in the Heart of Barcelona

Key facts:

  • Host: La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull
  • Dates: Online: 16 June 2026 | On campus: 13–24 July 2026
  • Format: One- or two-day teaching contributions (2–4 hours)

  • Participants: Bachelor’s and master’s students (max 45)
  • Language: English
  • Remuneration: €225 for 2 hours / €450 for 4 hours (gross). Assistance with accommodation is provided.

Participants will study historical milestones and contemporary initiatives, sharing knowledge on sustainable urban development, digital innovation, and cultural heritage.

Key teaching areas include economics and event management, culture and society, technology and innovation, and architectural and urban planning evolution. Lecturers are welcome to involve an organization outside academia to provide practical insights.

Data Science meets Rome

This summer school gives you the opportunity to teach students about the challenges and opportunities in data science, AI, and digital transformation. Teaching positions are available for one, two, or three days.

Host: Luiss University

Dates: July 2026

Format: One-, two-, or three-day workshops. Interactive approaches, interdisciplinary perspectives

Participants: Bachelor’s students (max 45)

Language: English

Remuneration: €130 per hour (gross)

Participants will explore key topics such as data-driven management, artificial intelligence, digital ecosystems, and data ethics, among others. External collaborators are encouraged.
