The process of hiring a new rector has started

The board has initiated the work to recruit a rector after Øystein Thøgersen. The aim is that the appointment will take place at the board meeting on 16 December. The new rector will take office on 1 August, 2025.

The position was advertised on Monday, 9 September, and the application deadline is 6 October.

Jefferson Wells  are advisors in the recruitment process and will immediately start with mapping conversations with the nomination committee and key personnel.

Employees at NHH are encouraged to suggest good candidates.

The board has appointed an advisory nomination committee that will carry out selection and interviews in the process.

The committee consists of:

  • Chairperson of the board Karen Helene Ulltveit-Moe (leader)
  • Board member Inger G. Stensaker
  • Board member Harald Espedal
  • Board member Hallvard Lyssand
  • Board member representing the students, Lars Mæhle
  • Leader of Forskerforbundet at NHH, Sigrid Lise Nonås

In addition, a reference group will have a consultative role along the way. The reference group consists of the research department heads, the director of NHH Executive, a chief union representative for technical and administrative staff and the leader of the student association.

The HR Office provides administrative support in the process and questions can be directed to HR Director Carina Ottesen.
