The publication bonuses are increasing
NHH aims to incentivise and clarify the ambition to produce research that reaches the leading journals.
'I think it's great that we've got this in place. The bonus rates have been fixed for some time, and it's therefore important that we've managed to adjust the rates so that they reflect the school's view on and ambitions for such top publications,' says Malin Arve, Vice Rector for Research.
An adjustment of the bonus rates has been discussed in the Faglig ledergruppe and also in NHH's Research Committee during the autumn of 2023. NHH's scheme for publication bonuses in the leading journals complements other initiatives and measures to increase NHH's total publication volume by encouraging all academic staff to publish.
'I also hope that an attractive bonus scheme can be a useful signal in connection with researcher recruitment,' says Arve.
New rates
From 1 January 2024, the following bonus rates apply:
- The rate for publications in journals on NHH's bonus list (top publications) is increased from NOK 80,000 to NOK 100,000.
- Publications in journals on the FT list are increased from NOK 40,000 to NOK 80,000.
- Publications in journals that are on both lists are increased to NOK 200,000 (i.e., somewhat more than the sum of both).
