Calendar door 6: Justyna Beresniewicz
In the sixth calendar door of the NHH Employee Calendar 2024 we find Justyna, who already feels like part of the NHH team and points to the Christmas Lunch at NHH as a highlight

Justyna Beresniewicz has been working at the Department of Economics for a year and challenges you to pronounce the name of her hometown.
Justyna comes from Łódź — it means 'boat' in Polish, but can you pronounce it correctly? And, in case you are wondering, no, there’s no water nearby.
Food is important during Christmas and one of Justyna’s favorite Christmas traditions is preparing Christmas meals together with friends and family. The content of her Christmas feast is very international. It includes dumplings with red barszcz, ribbe, and panettone, paired with a glass of Tawny Port wine. Not celebrating and enjoying Christmas is hard when there’s so much good food and cheer involved is her conclusion
Another favorite of hers is opening Advent calendars.
‘Because who doesn’t love surprises and good food?’ smiles Justyna.
Justyna already feels like part of the NHH team and points to the Christmas Lunch at NHH as a highlight —good food, great company, and a festive atmosphere is a summary of this event.
NHH Employee Calendar 2024
During workdays in December, Paraplyen will present colleagues and their end-of-the-year traditions. In total 15 employees will share their own special traditions.
It is not yet clear where you will find her during the holidays, but escaping Bergen’s wet, grey, and dark winter for a sunnier destination does sound like the perfect Christmas gift according to Justyna.
And when asked about her wishes for Christmas, she quotes her favorite, Sandra Bullock, in Miss Congeniality: “And world peace.” When pushed further on this question, her wishes are simple, yet beautiful.
‘Some good books and quality time with loved ones would be perfect,’ she concludes.
