Calendar door 11: Magdalena Ims
In the eleventh calendar door of the NHH Employee Calendar 2024 we find Magdalena. Her favorite Christmas food is a beetroot soup served with homemade dumplings filled with meat, mushrooms and smoked "pinnekjøtt".
Magdalena Ims has been working at the Office of HR since April this year. She comes from Zakopane, a lovely little town in the middle of the Tatra Mountains in Poland and she absolutely loves Christmas.
Magdalena’s version of Christmas can be described by a citation that is well-known to many at NHH: "Same procedure as every year." In her case, this means a calm and relaxing Christmas at home in Bergen together with her husband, kids and in-laws.
Christmas is Magdalena’s favorite time of the year and for her Christmas combines the best from Norway and Poland. This can be illustrated by her Christmas Eve dinner where they combine Norwegian and Polish traditional cuisine into what she refers to as “Polish-Norwegian fusion”.

During workdays in December, Paraplyen will present colleagues and their end-of-the-year traditions. In total 15 employees will share their own special traditions.
Her Christmas wish is simple: Snow! Perhaps this is related to the fact that her hometown hosts the ski jumping World Cup mid-January?
