Calendar door 1: Minna Danbom-Tryti
In the first calendar door of the NHH Employee Calendar 2024 we find Minna, Learn more about her "joultorttu", cured salmon and Christmas sauna.
Minna Charlotta Danbom-Tryti has been working at the Department of Strategy and Management for about a year and Christmas is her favorite holiday.
In Bergen, you might meet Minna at the Christmas market or Pepperkakebyen as a visit (or two) to these is a must for her before Christmas.
'I also love strolling around in Bergen when all the small alleys are filled with Christmas lights. The city is super cozy during Christmas,' exclaims our Christmas-loving colleague.
NHH Employee Calendar 2024
During workdays in December, Paraplyen will present colleagues and their end-of-the-year traditions. In total 15 employees will share their own special traditions.
Minna comes from a small town in the south of Finland called Ekenäs and she will return to Finland for the holidays to spend them with family and friends there. Even if she will not spend the holidays in Bergen, her favorite Christmas traditions start in Norway decorating the house for the holiday season. But she also enjoys a Christmas sauna (!) and her (the Finnish) version of a traditional Christmas dinner.
‘In Finland we have quite many dishes at the Christmas table, but I think my favorite dish is the cured salmon (gravlaks) that my dad makes,’ Minna explains.
The Finnish Christmas pastries (joulutorttu) with plum jam are also one of her favorites and a must during the whole holiday season for her.
Her Christmas wish is a classic for many: A peaceful and snowy holiday celebration!
