Relocation postponed until after New Year
Statsbygg has announced that the rehabilitation is eleven days delayed and will not be completed until 23 December. Relocation to new premises is therefore postponed until after the New Year.
"Unfortunately, the planned move in week 51 must be postponed, but we want to get into new premises as soon as possible in the new year," says project manager Eivind Drange.
The new relocation time will be week 1 for the administration and NHHS. The departments can choose whether they want to move in week 1 or in week 9 (the winter holiday week).
“When NHH takes over the building, the rehabilitated area is open and publicly accessible, and we want to start using the building as soon as possible. The administration therefore moves in immediately after New Year. The departments have many considerations to make before they decide when it is best to move, and NHH's management has therefore given them the opportunity to choose between two times for moving. For logistics reasons, everyone must relate to these times,” says Eivind.
The progress of the rehabilitation project is very good and much of the work is done, but it is not possible to make up for all the time lost due to the pandemic. In order for the move to go as smoothly as possible, everyone must start packing and marking their own equipment.
“Cardboard boxes for packing are now available to everyone, and equipment must be marked according to information you have received by email. We also move to a smaller area with less shelf space for the individual employee, so it is therefore necessary that all employees reduce the amount of personal material (books and other personal belongings), either by throwing things away or by moving them home,” says Eivind.
