Linda Nøstbakken new Professor

Linda Nøstbakken is NHH’s new Professor. She has just been promoted to full Professor in resource economics.

Linda Nøstbakken joined the Department of Economics at NHH as Associate Professor in 2013. Prior to that, she spent five years as an Assistant Professor at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta. Linda Nøstbakken holds a PhD in Economics from NHH (2005).

Her research focuses on issues related to the use and management of natural resources and the environment. This includes:

-          Optimal management of fisheries
-          Investment and excess capacity in fisheries
-          Regulatory enforcement and compliance in fisheries
-          Energy and climate economics

Linda Nøstbakken's academic production is substantial, and her work is published internationally in peer-reviewed economic journals and books.

She currently serves as co-editor of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management and associate editor of Natural Resource Modeling.

Linda Nøstbakken is also the Programme Director the MBA programme Sustainable Innovation in Global Seafood which NHH just launched.
