Nordic Conference in Development Economics 2021

Chr. Michelsen Institute, the Department of Economics at the University of Bergen, and FAIR would like to welcome you to the 19th NCDE conference, 15 - 16 June 2021.

The 19th NCDE conference is organized by Chr. Michelsen Institute, the Department of Economics at the University of Bergen, and FAIR. The conference is organized on behalf of the Nordic Network in Development Economics.

The organizing committee consists of Rune Jansen Hagen, University of Bergen, Vincent Somville, NHH, and Magnus Hatlebakk, CMI.

The conference was canceled last year due to Covid, but will now be organized digitally. There is no conference fee.

Researchers and Ph.D. candidates from any country are welcome. Citizens from low-and-middle-income countries and female researchers are particularly encouraged to submit a paper and participate in the conference.

The conference is open to submissions within any sub-field of development economics. This will be an excellent opportunity for economists working on development issues to share their ongoing research with a wide range of colleagues from all Nordic countries as well as participants from other countries.

Selected participants will be asked to serve as discussants for another paper in their session.

The conference will last for two full days, from Tuesday morning (9:00 AM) until Wednesday afternoon (4:30 PM).

The conference is supported by the Research Council of Norway.
