Kjell Ove Røsok awarded The Bronze Sponge

NHH's bachelor's students have chosen their favorite lecturer this autumn: Associate Professor Kjell Ove Røsok has received the Bronze Sponge for extraordinary efforts.

Kjell Ove Røsåk is Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting, Auditing and Law.

Financial Accounting

He is responsible for and teaches the subject BED2: Financial accounting, which deals with the preparation and analysis of financial accounts. The main purpose is to give students a good basis for understanding accounting information.

The student representative Sivert Sundre Abrahamsen gave a speech to Røsok at the NHH hall meeting on Friday.

`This fall, the Bronze Sponge award goes to a lecturer for a subject that has been considered by the students as the most challenging in the bachelor's program. The students describe him as an enthusiastic and eager communicator. His teaching is orderly, educational, and structured. He has made several changes to the course based on feedback from previous classes, ‘Abrahamsen said.

beyond what is expected

This shows an ability to want the best for his students, according to the bachelor students. Additionally, throughout the course, Røsok has been in continuous contact with the class representatives to get feedback on the course structure. Following feedback, changes have also been made during the course.

Students’ lecturer award to Santos

Associate Professor Francisco Santos has received this year´s Bronsesvampen for his extraordinarily good teaching effort.

`In addition to consulting with the class representatives, he gathered a small group for lunch in the middle of the semester to hear their opinions and suggestions. This demonstrates an ability to adapt to the wishes and needs of his students. This year's winner has gone beyond what is expected to meet the needs of the students. We, as students, deeply value and appreciate this´, Sivert Sundre Abrahamsen said, and concluded:

`It is with great pleasure that the student committee awards the Bronze Sponge for the fall of 2023 to Kjell Ove Røsok for BED2.
