Christian Langerfeld joined the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in his current position as a postdoc in 2014. He holds a Master’s degree in German linguistics from the University of Bergen (UiB) and received his Ph.D. also from UiB in 2015. In addition he is a government-authorized translator (Norwegian-German).
Christian Langerfeld’s research focuses on knowledge communication and corpus linguistic approaches to specialized communication in the domains of economics and law. In his Ph.D. thesis he analyses the cognitive dimension of metaphors in specialized communication within the domain of economics.
Before becoming an academic, Christian Langerfeld worked as a teacher of German as a second/foreign language in Germany and Norway.
