Read the application requirements listed below carefully. Eligible applicants will be invited for an application interview in late November. Admission results will be announced in late January. Some partners require an additional application interview for the final selection.

  • Who can apply?

    Who can apply?

    • First semester students in the MSc in Economics and Business Administration (MSc/MØA) programme - with any major.
    • Students starting their MSc degree in the spring semester and students in the Accounting and Auditing (MRR) programme are not eligible to apply
    • Master's students can have a maximum of one course with pass/fail in the first semester. This must be a mandatory course which only takes place in the autumn semester.
    • Bachelor students in their final year at NHH
    • Students on leave cannot apply for the Double Degree programme
    • GPA average must be above C in order to be admitted to the programme. Individual partner schools may require a higher GPA
    • You must meet the language requirements (see "Language Requirements" below)
    • You cannot apply to both the CEMS and the Double Degree programme. Students who have already been admitted into the CEMS programme will not be considered for the Double Degree programme
    As a general rule, you cannot go on exchange to a country where you have citizenship. Please contact the Double Degree coordinator if you have questions regarding this matter.

    Upload the following documents to your Søknadsweb application:

    1. An official transcript of grades from your Bachelor's Degree (if not from NHH)
    2. Letter of motivation, in English
      • Maximum one page
      • Must include your academic and personal motivation for applying to the Double Degree programme, and
      • Must address your motivation for applying to the specific institutions and study programmes
    3. Curriculum Vitae/resumé, in English
  • Language Requirements

    Language Requirements

    We no longer require proof of English language skills in order to apply for the Double Degree Programme, although some partner universities require it during the registration and application process. It is your responsibility to document your English language skills. You can prove you meet this standard if: 

    • your native language is English,
    • you have completed a bachelor's degree fully taught in English, or
    • you have a valid TOEFL or IELTS test (see minimum scores below, max. 2 years old).

    • Apply online in Søknadsweb (Application web) between 5 October and 1 November and submit the required documents (see below).

  • Selection Criteria

    Selection Criteria

    • GPA above C. The grade point average and study progression in your study program at NHH are the primary selection criteria. For bachelor students, this will apply to your undergraduate studies at NHH. For first year master students, this will mean the autumn semester at NHH. If you and another candidate have the same GPA and are competing for the same place, we will consider subjective criteria such as your performance in the interview, your motivation, experience etc
    • Study progression (30 ECTS per semester) from NHH
    • Motivation (academic and personal) for the Double Degree programme and the specific institutions and study programmes
    • Personal aptitude 
    • Language skills
