Please review the application requirements listed below carefully. Eligible applicants will be invited to participate in an application interview in late November. Admission decisions will be announced in late January.

  • Who can apply?

    Who can apply?

    Only NHH students are eligible to apply. If you are enrolled at another institution (not a Double Degree partner), you must first apply for the MSc Degree in Economics and Administration (MSc/MØA) at NHH.

    Eligible applicants include:

    • First-semester students in the MSc in Economics and Business Administration program, regardless of major.
    • Bachelor students in their final year at NHH.

    Not eligible:

    • Students beginning their MSc in the spring semester.
    • Students enrolled in the Accounting and Auditing (MRR) program.
    • Students on leave.

    Additional requirements:

    • Master’s students may have a maximum of one pass/fail course in the first semester, which must be a mandatory autumn-semester course.
    • GPA must be above C for admission; some partner schools may require a higher GPA.
    • Master’s students must meet the study plan requirements of the prioritized partner schools.
    • Applicants may not apply to both the CEMS and the Double Degree programs. Students already admitted to the CEMS program will not be considered for the Double Degree program.
    • As a general rule, students may not complete their exchange in a country of which they are a citizen.

    Upload the following documents to your Søknadsweb application:

    1.Letter of motivation (in English)

    • Maximum one page
    • Must include your academic and personal motivation for applying to the Double Degree program
    • Must explain your motivation for applying to the specific partner institutions and study programs

    2.Curriculum Vitae / résumé (in English)

  • Language Requirements

    Language Requirements

    Proof of English language proficiency is no longer required for application to the Double Degree program, although some partner universities may request it during their registration or application process.

    You are considered to meet the language requirement if:

    • English is your native language,
    • You have completed a bachelor’s degree taught entirely in English, or
    • You have a valid TOEFL or IELTS score (see minimum scores below; test results must be no older than two years).

    Selection Criteria

    Selection Criteria for the Double Degree Program:

    • GPA above C: The grade point average and study progression in your program at NHH are the primary selection criteria. For bachelor students, this refers to your undergraduate studies at NHH. For first-year master’s students, this refers to the autumn semester at NHH. In cases where two candidates have the same GPA and are competing for the same position, subjective criteria such as interview performance, motivation, and relevant experience will be considered.
    • Study progression: Completion of 30 ECTS per semester at NHH.
    • Motivation: Both academic and personal motivation for the Double Degree program and for applying to the specific partner institutions and study programs.
    • Personal aptitude for the program and study environment.
    • Master’s students must also meet the study plan requirements of the prioritized partner schools.
