BIOGraphy

Øystein Gjerde is a Professor at the Department of Business and Management Science. Gjerde joined the department in 1987. He has a Master of Science degree from NHH and received his Dr. Oecon. degree at NHH in 1989. Gjerde was Head of NHH's Bachelor Program Committee 1999-2005. He is an Adjunct Professor at Bodø Graduate School of Business, Nord University.

His research interests are in financial economics and accounting. He has published in several academic journals, including Journal of Banking and Finance; Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money; Journal of International Money and Finance; Journal of Futures Markets and Scandinavian Journal of Economics.

Gjerde has received a lot of best teaching awards, both at NHH and at the Nord University, including NHH's Award for Best Teacher, NHH's Award for Excellence in Teaching and NHH Student Association's Teaching Award.
