Postdoctoral Position in Behavioural and Experimental Economics
We are hiring a postdoctoral researcher in behavioural and experimental economics to join FAIR – Centre for Experimental Research on Fairness, Inequality and Rationality – at the Department of Economics, Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
This is a three-year position starting in August 2027, linked to the European Research Council (ERC)-funded FAIR Markets research project.
The project focuses on the moral foundations of markets, studying how people evaluate the fairness and legitimacy of market transactions. The research combines experimental methods, large-scale surveys and administrative data.
The successful candidate will work closely with Bertil Tungodden and other researchers at FAIR and The Choice Lab, contributing to ongoing projects while also developing independent research within the broader FAIR Markets agenda.
We are looking for a highly ambitious and collaborative researcher with a strong background in behavioural and experimental economics, particularly an interest in fairness, markets and public policy. Candidates should have excellent analytical and technical skills and a strong motivation to contribute to high-quality research.
Application deadline: 1 December 2026
