Professor Ingvild Almås has been appointed chair of the second Welfare, Working Life and Migration (VAM) programme of The Research Council of Norway.

Professor Ingvild Almås has been appointed chair of the VAM 2 programme. The second Welfare, Working Life and Migration (VAM) programme of The Research Council of Norway is the largest Norwegian programme for the social sciences.
VAM 2 will include research topics like Ageing, Consequences of increased Wealth, International Migration, Family and Society, Pension and sick Leave, Work and Health, Economic Growth and Organisation of Working Life, and the Support for, Organising and Governing of the Welfare Society.
The first large call from VAM 2 will be out in April 2019, but you can apply for funds on "Changes in the labour market" by 10. October 2018.
