Best research group in Bergen

Last Friday FAIR was awarded the Bergen Awards 2018 for Best Research group in an award show in Grieghallen. Bergen Awards is organised by Bergensmagasinet, but the jury for Best Research group was the University of Bergen.

"We are very happy to win this price in competition with so many excellent research groups in Bergen and happy to be a part of Bergen Awards to present FAIR to a wider autience" says Centre Director Bertil Tungodden. "One of our main objectives is to spread out research wider than the research community and to invite public and private sectors to the table. We hope that the price for Best Research group will give us new possibilities and collaborators in the years to come."

FAIR will have several projects working with local schools, companies and government agencies in Bergen and it important for us to be relevant and known both in Bergen and the world. We are happy to earn the prize for Best Research group after only six months and know that this will motivate us in our work going forward.
