Three out of four hired before graduation
Almost 75 per cent of the NHH students have a job by the time they graduate, according to the latest NHH labour market survey.
The economic downturn does not affect NHH graduates. In 2016, 74.3 per cent of them had already found a job before they graduated. This figure is almost identical as last year.
“The survey shows that NHH graduates are highly sought after in the labour market. It is important for NHH to offer an education that is close to the needs of the business world. The fact that our graduates get good jobs is proof that we are achieving our aim,” says Rector Frøystein Gjesdal.
A salary of NOK 525.000
The annual survey reveals how the labour market receives and values NHH graduates. The survey was sent to all 497 candidates who graduated in the spring of 2016.
86.7 per cent of NHH graduates reported having a job six months after completing their studies. The survey shows that the average starting salary is about NOK 525 000 including bonuses and benefits. Last year the average starting salary was NOK 520.000
The three main sectors for new NHH graduates are auditing (24.2 per cent), consultancy (23.8 per cent) and banking/insurance/finance (17.4 per cent).
