NHH has started using the Unibuddy platform to answer all the big and small questions you may have about life as a student in Ytre Sandviken. You can chat with eight current students or read their blog posts.

On the blog, they write about their studies, the student association, what life in Bergen is like, international opportunities and potential career paths for business graduates.

A massive 97 per cent of students who graduated with a master's degree from NHH in spring 2020 and who have jobs are in relevant employment. Most were offered a job before completing their degree.

Looking forward to speaking with applicants

The students in the group come from different places in Norway. Some are bachelor’s and others master’s students. Three of the student ambassadors have international backgrounds, two of them from Germany and Canada, respectively.

Maria Welle Fjellbirkeland (21) is one of the international students. She started her master’s degree at NHH in August, but took her bachelor’s degree at the University of Southampton in England. Fjellbirkeland is looking forward to speaking with potential international applicants in English and French.

‘As student ambassadors, we have a possibility to help to recruit next year’s NHH students. Through the chat, potential applicants can talk with us and get answers to their questions about NHH and the application process. I look forward to communicating with people from all over the world to let them know why NHH is one of the best schools in Europe,’ says Fjellbirkeland.

Travel around the country

Several of the student ambassadors will participate in school visits and digital school fairs around the country.

Student ambassador and first-year student Mah Noor Munir (20) remembers NHH’s visit to her former school, Elvebakken upper-secondary school in Oslo. Munir says that she chose NHH because of the exchange opportunities and the school’s extensive collaboration with educational institutions abroad.

‘One of the things I really want to highlight is how amazing the student association is. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend time on a hobby while getting to know your fellow students. The student association really has something for everyone – from skydiving and dodgeball teams to choirs and the Student Policy Committee,’ says Munir.

‘It is perhaps the best way to acquire as much knowledge as possible in a master’s degree,’ says Sabrina Maria Erlacher. She and Beatriz Soares Magalhães are taking a double degree at NHH and Nova.
