Board at the Norwegian School of Economics has decided to offer Øystein Thøgersen the position as rector for the coming rector period. Accession is 1 August 2021, and the term of office has a duration until 31 July 2025.

`The board is very satisfied with how Øystein Thøgersen has filled the role as rector since he started in 2017. He is a leader with drive, and he is a unifying and motivating leader, and the board therefore wants him to continue´, Aase Aamdal Lundgaard, chair of the Board, said.

`Øystein Thøgersen takes the vision Together for sustainable value creation seriously, and he has been a driving force for NHH's mission to be further developed and strengthened. Thøgersen is pleased that he has been offered the job.

`The ambitions have been high in the current strategy period, which is now coming to an end. NHH has taken great strides in professional development, research centres, international accreditation work, high admission quality and contributions to the society around us. I want to continue this work with the rest of the organisation, so that we can take new steps´, he said.
