New NHH Executive Student

Welcome as a new NHH Executive student. In the steps below, we will guide you through creating your student account.

To access NHH’s IT services and the Canvas e-learning platform, you must create a user account.

  • Step 1 – Create an account

    Click the link selfservice.nhh.no and enter your student number (s + 6 digits). Then click 'Reissue password', and you will receive a link via email.

    The email address to which the link was sent will be shown in the line below the button.

    You must create a new password within one hour; otherwise, the link will expire and you will need to repeat the process. The same applies if you forget your password or your user account has expired.

    The following password requirements must all be met:

    • Must contain at least 12 characters
    • Must include both lowercase and uppercase letters (a–z, A–Z)
    • Must include at least one number

  • Step 2 – Find your NHH email address

    Step 2 – Find your NHH email address

    When you create a user account, you will also receive an NHH email address.

    • Go to the link selfservice.nhh.no
    • Enter your student number (s + 6 digits)
    • Click the search button
    • Your NHH email address will be displayed

    It is important that you remember both your NHH email address and your student number, as both are used as usernames for different IT services.

  • Step 3 – The Canvas e-learning platform

    Step 3 – The Canvas e-learning platform

    Here you will find useful information and important announcements about the programme you are now enrolled in.

    Click the link to Canvas.

    Enter your username (your NHH email address, as mentioned in Step 2) and then the password you created in Step 1 to log in.

    We recommend that you download the Canvas app, 'Canvas Student', an select the school Norwegian School of Economics – NHH.

  • Login with Feide

    Login with Feide

    To log in with Feide, select affiliation: Norwegian School of Economics.

    You can choose to log in with ID-porten (BankID) or your Work and School account*.

    *For the latter option: your username is your NHH email address (Step 2) and the password you created in Step 1.

    Using the Canvas Student app gives you notifications when new information is posted.

    As a student, you are required to stay updated.

    You will find details about which username to use under 'USERNAME'. The password is the same for both username options.
