Biography
Akshay's research interests are behavioural and development economics. He studies how beliefs and preferences are shaped, and how they shape economic decisions. His work on this topic takes two forms: firstly, how beliefs and preferences cause friction in information acquisition; secondly, he investigates the origins of heterogeneity in social preferences.
