Consequently Western Norway will be able to create new industrial adventures

Leif K. Sandal and Gunnar S. Eskeland et al: We have a formidable opportunity to cooperate to take Western Norway forward.

Nearness between business and industry and the research institutions in Western Norway has large effect.

Furthermore, economic support programmes require, to an increasingly greater extent, that researchers cooperate with business and industry and civil service. Western Norway should take a bigger piece of this pie, because we have a unique advantage through competent industry and a broadly compound research and development sector, the authors write.

They are Gunn Mangerud (University of Bergen), Kristin Flornes (NORCE), Geir Anton Johansen (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences), Leif K. Sandal (NHH), Aina M. Berg (NORCE), Jens Kristian Fosse (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences), Gunnar S. Eskeland (NHH) and Kristin Guldbrandsen Frøysa (University of Bergen).

Their chronicle Derfor skal Vestlandet klare å skape nye industrieventyr (In Norwegian) was published in SYSLA on November 19, 2019.
