Nordic PhD Workshop in the Economics of Education

We are glad to announce the 5th edition of the Nordic PhD Workshop in the Economics of Education, scheduled to take place at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, Norway, on April 18th and 19th, 2024.

about the workshop

PROGRAM

The workshop is designed for PhD students from Nordic universities with a research focus on the Economics of Education.

The workshop aims to provide PhD candidates with a space to present and receive feedback on their ongoing research projects while fostering collaboration among young researchers in the region. PhD candidates from universities outside the Nordics will be allowed to submit their papers, but the candidates from Nordic universities will be prioritized.

The two-day workshop aims to accommodate students at different stages of their PhD programs. It offers short presentations of 20 minutes for early-stage research, allowing candidates to receive external feedback on projects not typically presented at conferences. Additionally, longer presentation slots of 45 minutes are available for those seeking more in-depth feedback. Please specify your preferred presentation format in the registration form. Short presentation slots will be reserved for extended abstracts, while papers will be assigned to the long presentation format.

In addition to PhD candidate presentations, the workshop features:

Keynote Speaker: Laia Navarro-Sola

Lunch seminar: Mikko Silliman

fair seminar: Joan Llull
