Change of leadership at DIG

Bram Timmermans has temporarily taken over as leader of DIG. Tor Wallin Andreassen has decided that it is time to step down as leader but will still be involved in the research center.

After almost ten years as head of the research center SFI CSI followed by research center DIG, Professor Tor Wallin Andreassen has chosen to step down as leader.

The DIG Management Team and DIG board of directors are grateful for the excellent job he has done building this ambitious and rigorous center. They are also grateful that he will still be involved in the center activities and research.

DIG will be in good hands going forward as Professor Bram Timmermans temporarily has taken over as leader of DIG. Bram has been involved in DIGs management group from the startup in September 2020 and is most familiar with ambitions, research and partners.

Bram is looking forward to moving this initiative onwards and upwards to reach our K2 ambitions. This is done in collaboration with our engaged DIG partners, a strong board, the members in the Digital Transformation HUB, our partners in the various research projects that operate under the DIG umbrella, and of course the great research team.

As some of the main tasks in his period of leader in DIG, Bram will emphasize strengthening the research capacity that lies at the foundation to create and capture value for and with our partners, and as well as preparing DIG for a new and more temporary leadership.

- It will be a pleasure to further develop the center in close collaboration with the researchers, partners and the board of DIG until a new leader is in place, says Bram.
