The Centre for Sustainable Business does research, teaching, and outreach on the behaviors, business models and technologies that promote sustainable business.
The CSB is a cross-departmental research centre, which does research in three main areas: Sustainable and Circular Business Models, Sustainable Consumption and Behavior, and Sustainability Management.
Research at the Centre has been published in leading journals such as Management Science, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Ethics and Business & Society, and leading publishing houses such as Palgrave Macmillan and Edward Elgar.
The Centre’s research activities are built around several ongoing research projects that have attracted more than 20 MNOK in external funding from research councils and other funding sources. Research at the Centre is conducted in close collaboration with companies such as Orkla, Umoe Restaurants and WasteIQ.
Currently, the Centre has two large research projects: #sustainX: Experimentation for Sustainable Business, and Circular Business Models and Green Consumer Behavior.
In addition to its research activities, the Centre does teaching at Bachelor, Master and Executive level. It also conducts a vast array of outreach activities, including business engagement, public speaking, hosting seminars and conferences, and research dissemination in various media.
