About CSB
The Centre for Responsible and Sustainable Business (CRSB) at NHH explores how businesses and markets can create sustainable value in a responsible world. We bring together world-class researchers across strategy, law, economics, and behavior to address the most pressing challenges in business and society — from climate change and corruption to circular economy and ethical consumption.
Who We Are:
The Centre for Responsible and Sustainable Business (CRSB) is an interdisciplinary research centre at NHH, co-led by Professor Lars Jacob Tynes Pedersen and Associate Professor Sveinung Jørgensen. Building on the former Centre for Sustainable Business (CSB), CRSB integrates corporate responsibility, accountability, and sustainability into one strategic and scholarly platform.
We investigate how businesses behave, how they are governed, and how they can be transformed through innovation, ethics, and collaboration. CRSB’s members are internationally recognized scholars who collaborate across disciplines and sectors.
What We Do:
Our work spans four interconnected research areas:
-
Sustainable and Circular Business
-
Sustainable Consumption and Behavior
-
Sustainability Management and Reporting
-
Corporate Responsibility and Accountability
CRSB researchers publish in leading journals, collaborate with companies and institutions, and disseminate insights through teaching, podcasts, and public dialogue.
Strategic Vision:
We aim to:
-
Advance interdisciplinary, high-impact research
-
Help organizations embed ESG, accountability, and circularity into their strategy
-
Build ecosystems of learning and innovation that accelerate sustainable transitions
