Millions to SAM from the Research Council

Labour market research lead by CBE researcher Astrid Kunze, receives 12 million NOK from Research Council Norway.

The Department of Economics has been granted funding for two new projects from the Research Council of Norway. In addition, SNF and CMI have received funding for projects headed by faculty members at the department. "Christmas came early this year!", says Eirik Gard Kristiansen, Head of Department.

“Four strong research groups at the department have received fantastic news from the Research Council of Norway (NFR). This shows that we are a balanced department with strong groups also outside FAIR. The coming years will be busy and are very promising."

12 mill to SNF on robots

Project “Automated Away? Causes and Consequences of Robots on Jobs and Families” at SNF).
SNF received the funding.

12 mill to CMI on tax

Project: “Successful Advances in Fiscal Architecture (SAFARI): Evidence from a new tax in Zanzibar”
The Chr. Michelsen Institute received the funding.
Project manager: Vincent Somville at SAM/FAIR.

Funding to 11 per cent of applications 

NOK 2.65 billion was distributed by the Research Council yesterday. The money goes to research project projects in the categories Research project for renewal, research project for young talents and three-year Research project with international mobility.

NFR received 2 363 applications, of which 11 per cent now have received funding. The financing periods are between three and six years.
