Professor Siv Skard appointed to Climate Council 2026
The Norwegian Climate Foundation is now bringing together some of Norway’s leading experts on climate, nature, energy, and economics in the Climate Council 2026.
Experts in climate, nature, energy, and economics will assess Norway’s climate efforts and recommend measures to accelerate the transition.

One of the members of the council is Siv Skard, Professor at the Department of Strategy and Management at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Her research focuses on consumer behaviour and sustainability, with particular emphasis on how people make decisions, how brands are built, and how sustainable attitudes and behaviours develop in markets.

Climate Council 2026 will provide a multidisciplinary assessment of Norway’s climate efforts on the path toward a low-emission society and present concrete recommendations to decision-makers in politics, public administration, and business.

The report will include an assessment of the government’s climate efforts over the past year, along with recommendations on what is needed to accelerate the transition in line with Norway’s climate targets.
The launch will take place at the Climate Festival “Warmer, Wetter, Wilder” on 12 March 2026, where the report will be formally presented to the Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen.
