Magne Angelshaug appointed new SNF Director

With experience as both a researcher and business leader, Magne Angelshaug is now appointed CEO of the Centre for Applied Research at NHH (SNF).

Angelshaug succeeds Svenn-Åge Dahl, who is retiring after 11 years at the helm.

«Magne is a motivated, thoughtful, and steady leader who is well equipped to guide SNF in the years ahead,» says incoming NHH Rector and SNF Chair, Helge Thorbjørnsen.

Cross-sector experience

Angelshaug is no stranger to the NHH community, having been both a student and later a researcher. He has been affiliated with the DIG Centre for several years and has contributed to numerous externally funded research projects. His industry experience includes serving on the executive team at Skandiabanken (now Sbanken) and earlier roles as a consultant at firms such as EY.

He will assume the role of CEO on 15 September.

Angelshaug holds a PhD from NHH, a Master’s in Cybernetics from NTNU, and an Executive Master’s in Management Control (MØST) from NHH.

«His broad background as a researcher, business leader, and consultant will bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy to SNF,» says Thorbjørnsen.

A pillar retires

As for Dahl, the long-serving director is now heading into what is expected to be a well-earned and slightly quieter retirement.

«Svenn-Åge Dahl has been an exceptionally steady, trusted, and respected leader of SNF for over a decade. He knows both the organization and the sector inside out and is highly regarded by colleagues and partners alike. He will be greatly missed,» Thorbjørnsen adds.
