Nerves and stress are now behind me. Today is about joy and happiness

“Today we are gathered to celebrate a milestone. This moment marks the end of your studies and the start of your life tomorrow.”
These were the words of NHH Rector Øystein Thøgersen, as he addressed the audience from the stage during the CEMS ceremony in Grieghallen on Saturday.
1,700 people were present in the audience, nearly 600 of whom were eager graduates, ready to celebrate the completion of their master’s degrees in international management. Among them was Michelle von Nathusius.
“Nerves and stress are now behind me. Today is about joy and happiness,” said von Nathusius.
The originally Polish student completed her CEMS studies at the National University of Singapore.

Wearing a dress and high heels, she carefully drapes this year's dark blue Annual Events stole over her shoulders. “This ceremony is the perfect ending to my student life chapter. I feel ready to embark on adventures”, said von Nathusius, who has already secured a consulting job in Munich.
The event spared no effort in making the graduation special and memorable. In addition to the degree presentation, there was an award ceremony, music and speeches.
“You have worked hard and achieved your goals. When you in the future get big opportunities, I recommend that you grab them with both hands”, said CFO at Equinor, Torgrim Reitan during his speech.
Four days of celebrations, meetings, workshops, seminars, and gatherings have come to an end. The CEMS Annual Events brought together students, faculty members, academics, and corporate partners.
During their stay, the visitors also had the opportunity to experience the city. “Bergen has the perfect combination of student life and nature,” said Austrian Martin Manas, who returns to Bergen almost exactly a year after his student exchange at NHH. “It's so nice to see Bergen decorated for Christmas and to reunite with many good friends I made while studying here,” he added.
CEMS Annual Events is the largest event NHH has ever hosted. It takes place every December, with the hosting responsibility rotating between the alliance members. Next year's event will be held in much warmer climates when it’s Rio de Janeiro’s turn to be the host.
