NHH study on cannabis legalization

This week Evelina Gavrilova-Zoutman was invited to the Danish Folketinget to talk about cannabis legalization, based on her top publication on the subject.

This week The Danish Parliament, Folketinget, arranged a hearing on pros and cons of legalizing cannabis. Researches, experts and politicians held presentations and had a debate on the theme.

Assistant Professor Evelina Gavrilova-Zoutman presented her research on cannabis legalization. Her presentation Medical Marijuana Laws Decreased Drug-related Crime at the Mexican Border of the US can be watched on Folketingets web site.

The talk is based on the study «Is Legal Pot Crippling Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations? The Effect of Medical Marijuana Laws on US Crime», written by Gavrilova-Zoutman and Floris Zoutman, both at the Department of Business and Management Science.

Their article was published in The Economic Journal, included in the NHH bonus list and on level 4 in the ABS Academic Journal Guide.
