Alida Røvik Langås is a PhD Research Scholar at the Department of Professional and Intercultural Communication at the Norwegian School of Economics.

Her research interests are discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, and metaphors. Currently, she is investigating climate change metaphors through a corpus assisted discourse study. She is particularly interested in what variables correlate with how climate change is framed and what that can reveal about our society.

She holds a master’s degree in English linguistics from the University of Bergen. Through her academic journey, she has also acquired a teacher qualification in English and a bachelor’s degree in Japanese from the University of Bergen. Langås developed her interest in linguistics through her academic engagement and international experience during extended stays in Japan and Australia.
