Maximum prices will not give us more energy
Gunnar S. Eskeland: In Europe, maximum prices, rationing or export restrictions do not produce more energy - it produces more pain. But it may be better to make a partnership less binding than to see it break down.
While drastic measures such as bans and rationing are unlikely, producers and users relate to the price: They look forward to winter, close the living room and the shower, fill the magazines and the firewood storages. Many sit quietly, perhaps because of the compensation options, Gunnar S. Eskeland writes.
