It is reactionary to want artificially cheap energy in Norway

Gunnar S. Eskeland: You have to be careful with what you wish for: You can get it. We will not be left out when the world's energy use is challenged and changed.

It was industry that created power, rather than the folklore that trapped power created industry. The world's enthusiastic hunger for zinc, aluminum and fertilizer created the factory, the plant and local communities such as Glomfjord, Notodden and Odda, Gunnar S. Eskeland writes.
