Women’s Economic Empowerment: Evidence from Uganda

The purpose of the conference is to bring together researchers, policy makers and practitioners, to discuss the important topic of women’s economic empowerment. We do so based on specific research projects in Uganda, but also drawing upon a broader research literature and practical experience. Three topics will be highlighted: financial constraints and business knowledge; domestic constraints including childcare; female leadership and role models. There will keynote presentations, short presentations, a panel debate and time for discussions, networking and mingling. The conference takes place in Kampala but is also available on Zoom:
