Alexander Lundervold is Professor of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Strategy and Management at NHH and is affiliated with the Digital Innovation for Sustainable Growth (DIG) research center. He holds a PhD in applied and computational mathematics from the University of Bergen.
His research focuses on the intersection of technical AI development and practical implementation, exploring how organizations strategically navigate AI adoption across healthcare, education, and business sectors.
He has extensive experience with medical AI applications through collaboration with Haukeland University Hospital, where he is part of the leadership team at MMIV, a center focusing on medical imaging and clinical decision support.
At NHH, he contributes to bachelor's and master's courses and to Executive programs. His research interests center on large language models, decision theory, and how AI transforms work practices, with an emphasis on bridging the gap between machine learning models and real-world solutions.
