FAIR is hiring a student assistant

We are seeking a student who can support the Centre with event coordination, communication, and other administrative tasks. The student assistant will join the administrative team of seven people.

FAIR, the Centre for Experimental Research on Fairness, Inequality and Rationality, is seeking a student who can support the Centre with event coordination, communication, and other administrative tasks. The Centre is part of the Department of Economics, has approximately 40 employees, and is world-leading in its fields. The student assistant will join the administrative team of seven people and report to the Centre Coordinator at FAIR. 

We are looking for someone who would like to be part of a team and learn new things while being self-motivated, structured, and responsible. You will be included in an active research environment and gain unique insights into the research activities taking place at the Centre. Your task will be to support these activities and communicate them internally and externally at NHH. We would also like that you become part of the social environment at the Centre. The working language is mainly English. 

Tasks: 

- Assist in organizing workshops, breakfast meetings, seminars, etc. 

- Design weekly newsletters and work with social media 

- Update and create content for the website 

- Update of Cristin (a publication tracking system) 

- Other ongoing administrative tasks 

Qualifications: 

- Solid English language skills, oral and written 

- Team player, who can also work independently 

- Proactive 

- Solid skills in the use of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook) 

The workload will be variable, with an estimate of about 10 hours a week. 

It is desirable to have a candidate who can work for FAIR over a longer period of time. The commitment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension for up to 3 years in total.
