Workshop on Logistics of Autonomous Vessels

The event was part of the activities of the AUTOLOG project.

The workshop on logistics of autonomous vessels took place at the Panorama Hotel in Sotra, near Bergen, on 26-29 May, 2019. It was organized by the Centre for Shipping and Logistics, in connection with the AUTOLOG project. Funded by The Research Council of Norway, one of the goals of the project is to study the logistics of autonomous vessels.

The workshop served as an opportunity to discuss and share new ideas about this topic and to learn from other applications where autonomous technologies are emerging, such as in truck platooning and in warehouse logistics with robots.

The event counted with the participation of researchers and practitioners from the national and the international scene, such as Kjetil Fagerholt (NTNU, Norway), Ricardo Manuel Pinto de Lima (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology), Stefan Minner (Technical University of Munich), Pitu Mirchandani (Arizona State University), Frédéric Semet (Ecole Centrale), Paul Helland (Maritime CleanTech), Pia Meling (Massterly).
