Dr. Dušan Hrabec, Faculty of Applied Informatics, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic, visited April 2018. He gave a talk on “From newsvendor to waste management network design: Marketing decisions by decision-dependent stochastic demand”.

Professor Suvrajeet Sen, Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California, visited October 2018. He gave a half-day seminar on “Big Data Analytics and Stochastic Programming”.

Dr. Pavel Popela, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic, visited November 2018. He gave a talk on “Optimization Models for Engineering Applications”.

Dr. Ricardo M. Lima, King Abdullah University of Science of Technology, Saudi Arabia, visited November 27-30, 2018. He gave a talk on “Trajectory planning for AUVs in the presence of obstacles and a nonlinear flow field using mixed integer nonlinear programming”.

Associate Professor Günter Prockl, from CBS Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, visited the centre in March 2018 and gave a talk on

Researcher Scientist Lukas Bach, from SINTEF Digital, Norway, visited the centre in November 2017 and gave a talk on “Sports scheduling – Eliteserien and non-professional leauges in Norway”.

Associate Professor Claudio Contardo, from ESG UQÀM, Canada, visited the centre in September 2016 and gave a talk on “Recent advances in exact algorithms for vehicle routing problems”.

Senior Researcher Scientist Lars Magne Nonås, from SINTEF Ocean AS, Norway, visited the centre in September 2016 and gave a talk on “Optimization for Statoil’s platform supply vessel planning”.

Dr Tristan Smith, from University College London, UK, visited the centre in September 2016 and gave a talk on “New methods and insights into shipping markets, energy efficiency and emissions - an application of big data”.

Professor Miguel F. Anjos, Department of Mathematical and Industrial Engineering, Polytechnique Montréal, Montreal, Canada, visited February 1-3, 2017. He gave a talk on "Optimization for demand response in smart grids".

Professor François-Charles Wolff, from the University of Nantes, France, visited the centre on December 12, 2016. He gave a talk on “Hedonic pricing models in offshore markets”.

Dr Jamie Fairbrother, Lancaster University, England, visited the centre in November 2016 to discuss further joint research on stochastic programming methodology.

Dr. Bismark Singh, The University of Texas at Austin, visited the centre in October 2106, and gave a talk on "Stochastic optimization related to wind energy production".

Professor Tamás Terlaky, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Lehigh University, PA, USA, visited November 1-3, 2016. He gave a talk on a "A polynomial column-wise rescaling Von Neumann algorithm".

Associate Professor Barrett Thomas, Iowa State University visited the centre in October 2016, gave a talk on "Stochastic vehicle routing, and initiated joint research activities on the same subject".

Professor Ted Ralphs, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Lehigh University, PA, USA, visited September 21-23, 2016. He gave a talk on "Duality, multilever optimization, and game theory: algorithms and applications".

Associate Professor Cristóbal Miralles, Industrial Engineering School of UPV-Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain, visited May 26-27, 2016. He gave a talk on "Ethics in decision science: applied visions from the EURO working group".

Associate Professor Ruibin Bai, The University of Nottingham Ningbo, China, visited July 7-11, 2015. He gave a talk on "Vehicle routing and discussed further cooperation with the center".

Ph.D. Student Vishnu Prakash, UCL Energy Institute in London, visited June 9-10, 2015. He presented a joint research paper at a seminar for our CARGOMAP project and discussed future activities.

Professor Kjetil Fagerholt, NTNU, Trondheim, visited March 16-18, 2015. He gave useful input to several PhD students. As a net result he is now co-supervisor for Yewen Gu.

Professor Teodor Gabriel Crainic, UQAM and CIRRELT, Montreal Canada, visited March 11-19, 2015. He gave talks on "City Logistics and Location-Routing problems", while giving useful input to several of the PhD students. As a net result, he is now co-supervisor for Seyed Mostafa Mirhedayatian.
