NHH GETS RENEWED PRESTIGIOUS ACCREDITATION
NHH has secured EQUIS accreditation for the next five years.
EQUIS is widely regarded as one of the most important international accreditations for business schools. `This re-accreditation is a mark of quality that confirms NHH as one of the world’s leading business schools,´ says Rector Helge Thorbjørnsen.
- EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) is an international accreditation system for business schools.
- It evaluates schools across 10 key areas, covering the entire institution, from leadership and faculty to study programs and research.
- EQUIS is one of the most prestigious accreditations for business schools and is only awarded to institutions that meet strict standards.
- The headquarters is in Brussels, Belgium.
A testament to the entire organization
The re-accreditation process was thorough and demanding. An expert panel, made up of senior leaders from top international business schools, carried out the evaluation. Among other areas, they focused on governance and leadership, students, faculty, research, and continuing education programs.
`This achievement is the result of the outstanding work across our entire organization,´ says Thorbjørnsen. `It shows that we maintain a consistently high international standard and continuously evolve to meet the expectations of students, academia, and the labor market,´ he adds.
Part of the Triple Crown
EQUIS is one of three accreditations that together form the prestigious Triple Crown for business schools. The other two are AACSB in the USA and AMBA in the UK.
`Maintaining Triple Crown status is extremely important for NHH. It confirms our internationally recognized quality and makes us attractive to students, staff, and partners alike,´ says Thorbjørnsen.
Less than 1 percent of business schools worldwide hold Triple Crown accreditation.
